The Warwick Mop funfair is back in the Market Place this weekend for its second outing, the Runaway Mop, on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October, and it brings road closures and two car park closures to the town centre from Thursday evening.
Runaway Mop times
- Friday 23 October: 5pm to 10.30pm.
- Saturday 24 October: 12pm to 10.30pm.
Those are Warwick District Council’s times; the fair’s own website says it closes at 10pm. Each ride is paid for separately.
Roads and car parks closed
From 4.45pm on Thursday 22 October to 11.59am on Sunday 25 October, these roads are closed: Market Place, Market Street (except for leaving the bus station and car park), Puckering’s Lane (except for access to the bus station and car park), Brook Street, New Street, Old Square, Swan Street, The Holloway and New Bridge.
- New Street car park is closed for the same period. The council suggests West Rock car park instead.
- Hampton Road car park stays closed to all vehicles, including camper vans, until 12pm on Sunday 25 October. Permit holders can use Bread and Meat Close and Vittle Close car parks.
